The speaker thought so because one of his classmate got one hundred on Maths. As the speaker was the first boy in the class,  he did not like the fact. He suspected that he had a deep connection with the ice cream.



Activity-5

a) Peppi sold different types and flavours of ice cream.


b) The speaker knew that Mr. Peppi was a soft-hearted person because Mr. Peppi always gave ice cream to the poor kids for free. He had a good heart for poor people.

c) The specialty of the green ice cream was to decrease the size of the nose for those who had long noses.


d) The speaker wanted to do better than everyone else in the class because he was the smartest student in the class. No one could beat his position and he wanted to retain his position. That's why he said this.


Activity-7

a) The speaker found many different types and flavors of ice cream tubs inside Mr. Peppi's ice cream van.


d) I think, the speaker ate the smart ice cream a lot. After that, he felt uncomfort and realised that he made a mistake. That's why there is peculiar spelling in the last paragraph.



 Activity-10(a)

A race between the hare and the tortoise 

Once upon a time, there lived a hare and a tortoise in the Jungle. The hare often prides on his speed. Most of the time, he teased and irritated the tortoise for his slow speed. One day, they decided to arrange a race between them. So the clever hare ran fast and slept in the middle of the race. He thought that the tortoise could not beat him. So, he slept in relax. When he woke up, the tortoise came near the finishing line. The hare tried to beat him but could not succeed. Finally, the tortoise won the race in the competition.

Moral: Slow but steady wins the race

Activity-10(b)

The life of an ice cream man is very interesting. After selling all the ice creams, he comes back to his home. Then he takes a bath and eats some food. After that, he rests for a while and calculates the profit of selling ice cream. In the evening, he goes to the market and purchases some groceries and vegetables. He also buys chocolate for his kids. Before going to the bed, he eats food with his family members. These are the daily activities of an ice cream seller.
